I've to kinda agree on 'loads of layers' but your choice of colours isn't that bad. Plus, sketch lines isn't all that bad. It's better than scribbles and stiff shapes
Oh, and for ease of zooming in and out, try 'ctrl+=' and 'ctrl+-' I'm not sure if you meant that by 'does not know how to draw in bigger scale' and you should try pressing '[' and ']' when you use brush tools. I don't kow if you know that already. Sorry if you do~
